From Concept to Jobsite

Seamless OEM Manufacturing from the CK Power Family of Companies

As an OEM, early design decisions determine how smoothly your equipment moves from prototype to production and how reliably it performs in the field. Fragmented suppliers, late-stage redesigns, and unclear service responsibility slow development and create long-term headaches.

The CK Power Family of Companies eliminates that complexity. By bringing manufacturing and distribution under one aligned organization, we help OEMs shorten development cycles, consolidate vendors, and deliver equipment that performs reliably from day one on the jobsite.

The Terramac concrete mixer shown here demonstrates how integrated OEM manufacturing leads to faster deployment, cleaner system integration, and dependable field performance.

OEM Innovation Backed by an Integrated Partner Network

The Terramac crawler carrier serves as a versatile chassis for this application, supporting the concrete mixer while integrating the power and drivetrain required to operate in challenging terrain.

Its durable design and purpose-built integration make it the clear choice for end users who need reliable road performance. Because we design and manufacture the cement mixer attachment in-house, the unit is engineered from the ground up to work seamlessly with the Terramac carrier. This collaboration minimizes the number of vendors customers must coordinate with, ensuring a fully supported, turnkey solution for even the most demanding applications.

Power Integration That Prevents Late-Stage Redesigns

The Terramac concrete mixer’s seamless performance depends not only on chassis and attachment integration but also on carefully engineered power systems. As an authorized distributor of Kubota. CK Power supplied the engine for the mixer attachment and was involved from the start, ensuring proper sizing, cooling, and packaging. This early collaboration prevents delays, eliminates late-stage redesigns, and helps the complete system operate reliably in the field.

“Engine integration is one of the most common causes of delays for OEMs. That’s why we engage early in the design process to identify risks upfront and eliminate them before they impact timelines,” explained Tom Byrnes, Director of Engineering at CK Power.

Drivetrain Components Engineered for Integrated Performance

Power transmission issues often appear during functionality testing or after equipment enters service. Misalignment, torsional loads, and shock events can quickly expose weak points.

The Terramac concrete mixer uses two independent power systems: a Cummins engine drives. The crawler carrier, while the Kubota engine drives the mixer attachment. In each system, Hayes couplings transfer torque and absorb variable loads, helping the equipment operate reliably and efficiently even in challenging terrain.

Having control over the sourcing of these essential components is a key advantage for OEMs. By working through our integrated divisions, we simplify the supply chain and consolidate vendors, reducing touchpoints and providing faster access to critical components. Hayes’ world-renowned quality ensures the right parts arrive on time, fit perfectly, and perform as expected in the field, instilling end users with confidence in their equipment from day one.

Manufacturing That Scales Without Disrupting Production

OEMs need manufacturing partners who can scale production without introducing variation or delays.

CM&W supports projects from prototype through full production with in-house laser cutting, forming, welding, machining, and assembly. Tight control over tolerances and processes ensures high-quality, consistent parts across builds.

For integrated systems like the Terramac concrete mixer, CM&W contributed key structural and sheet-metal components, including the concrete drum, chute, skid, and power-unit enclosure.

This precision manufacturing allows scalable production while maintaining quality and assembly efficiency, helping OEMs move smoothly from concept to jobsite.

Field Support That Knows Your Equipment

As the OEM behind this collaborative solution, Rocky Mountain Powertrain extends our capabilities into the field by providing parts and service support specifically aligned with the equipment we build. Operating under a single, integrated organization, RMPT has full access to original designs and system integrations, enabling faster, more accurate repairs and maintenance. This close alignment ensures end users experience minimal downtime and predictable, reliable performance throughout the life of their equipment.
